Attorney Honored with Judge Suzanne Covington Pro Bono Service Award

Attorney Lorrie Orton Heath routinely works with Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas (VLS), a non profit organization helping low-income clients access the civil justice system. Lorrie donates her time by providing free legal advice at VLS-sponsored clinics and by representing indigent clients screened through VLS.

At the annual Judge Suzanne Covington Pro Bono Service Awards, VLS recognizes law firms and attorney volunteers who devote an extraordinary amount of time providing legal services to low-income clients. Travis County judges, attorneys, VLS staff, and other volunteers participate in the annual awards event to show their support for VLS and to honor the recipients.

This year, the 2016 Judge Suzanne Covington Pro Bono Service Award event was hosted by Graves Dougherty Hearon & Moody. Along with 18 other attorneys in Central Texas, Lorrie was recognized at the event for providing clients with free legal advice at 10 or more VLS-sponsored clinics.
